Suns can’t escape the heat…Three Dot Thoughts…

Arizona Sports News online

It’s not been a banner summer for the Phoenix Suns. Eric Bledsoe’run with the team sure seems like it is heading towards an unhappy conclusion, P.J. Tucker embarrassed himself and the franchise with his “Super Extreme DUI”, and the Suns haven’t been close to landing that much needed star player that they desperately need. Kevin Love has been my main target since last December and now he seems signed, sealed and delivered to Cleveland later this month. The Suns spoke confidently about their flexibility and salary cap space leading up to this summers free agent period. To this point they’ve added a nice little guard and a stretch four to replace Channing Frye who bolted for Orlando.
To me this summer has been nothing more than a letdown. It’s as though the Suns believe that they just needed to tweak a roster for a team that didn’t make the playoffs last season. Can you say with the utmost confidence that the Suns are a team ready to compete for a Western Conference title with THIS roster? I sure can’t. I want title contending teams. Not teams that will win 50 games and make the playoffs…
