Arizona Christian University played their first football game Saturday night, losing on the scoreboard, but winning on the local football scene. A capacity crowd at Shadow Mountain High School (in excess of 3,500), 70 Arizona high school football players on the roster, and the NAIA brand now part of the Valley sporting landscape. Charles Brewer pitches for the Diamondbacks AAA team in Reno, Connor Brewer is a quarterback on the UofA football roster, and now you can add Cox7 sideline reporter Ashley to the mix. The Chaparral high grad is back in Arizona after graduating from USC. She has a very bright future in front of the camera. I am sure family dinners are really interesting in the Brewer household…
