2-0 with the 49ers coming to Glendale next Sunday. 2-0 and leading both San Francisco and Seattle in the standings after the Seahawks lost in San Diego and Chicago rallied to upset the 49ers. 2-0 without several players who were projected to be a big reason for the success of the 2014 season.
Outscoring San Diego and the Giants 27-0 in the fourth quarter will win you a bunch of games.
No matter that the Giants are a bad team. They dropped passes, committed stupid penalties, and handed the win to the Cardinals. No apologies coming from out here. Beating dumb teams is part of the deal in sports. Tom Coughlin used to be known for tough minded teams. He had a wide receiver complaining about not getting the ball thrown his way enough, but Victor Cruz drops were a big part of the poor showing by the Giants…

AZCentral reported late Sunday night that ASU QB Taylor Kelly will not play against UCLA on Sept. 25th because of a foot injury suffered in the win over Colorado. While I don’t think ASU has played its best football(ton of penalties vs Buffs), I do think they are playing better than the Bruins. I’ve had more than one college football analyst comment on the show that UCLA is the biggest early season enigma of college football…

FOX Baseball Insider Ken Rosenthal wrote over the weekend that
Tony LaRussa hasn’t decided whether or not to punch Kirk Gibsons ticket after the season. Hard to see how even someone of LaRussas stature could sell bringing Gibson back. Attendance  this season will finish the worst in the history of the franchise. 

Is this the week where we get some movement on Eric Bledsoe and the Suns? Training camp starts in two weeks and I can’t imagine Bledsoe standing in front of cameras and notebooks saying things like “I am here to help the team, that’s between the team and my agent” Blah, blah, blah…
