Countdown to signing day

The month of January will be the busiest month of the year for recruiting. There are four official visit weekends for prospects and all colleges are done playing so they are out and about recruiting. Let’s take a look at some of the top uncommitted talent and where I think they will head to.

*OT Andrus Peat- Corona del Sol- Has visited Nebraska and Stanford and will go to USC and Florida State in January. He is now mentioning Arizona State as a fifth visit. My gut says FSU but I would not be shocked if any of the above mentioned schools signed Peat.

*RB D.J. Foster- Saguaro- Has visited Nebraska, Oregon, ASU and Cal. Set to see USC in January. Foster has ruled out Nebraska and Oregon and says Cal is his leader now. My feeling has been ASU all along.

*WR Davonte’ Neal- Chaparral- Has been to Notre Dame. Says Ohio State, Arkansas and now possibly Hawaii could get visits. This one is anyone’s guess where he signs.

*WR Javon Williams- Chandler- Williams has been to Arkansas and Arizona State. He is set to visit Oregon State, Oregon and Oklahoma State. Not 100% sure Oregon has offered. I think Eugene is where he wants to go.

*DT Jaxon Hood- Hamilton- Soft commit to Boston College but I think the Eagles are a back up plan. Arizona offered recently and he could likely end up in Tucson.

*DT Calvin Thomas- Hamilton- I am shocked no FBS schools have jumped in for Thomas. Big guys are hard to find and he is an active d-tackle. He is visiting Air Force and has been to North Dakota State. NAU has jumped in recently and if no one else offers, I think he signed with them. But as schools start to get their commits, if Thomas is still available, expect offers to come in.

*RB Casey Jahn- Northwest Christian- NAU and North Dakota State are the finalists with North Dakota being in the mix.

* DE Dylan Cozens- Chaparral- Has really heated up, now holding 8 offers. Has tripped to Boise State, Missouri and Washington. Utah and Arizona visits are set. Expect him to join head coach Charlie Ragle in Tucson.

Stay tuned, next week I will bring you the top players that currently don’t have a D1 offer that soon could.
