Hamilton to face St. Mary’s for DI Championship

slider generic_basketballThe 12th seeded Hamilton Huskies continued their magical run through the post-season tournament as they defeated the number one seed, Mountain View Toros Thursday in the semi-finals 52-50. 

Hamilton came out on fire thanks in large part to senior Casidee Ranger who hit 5 three point field goals in the first half. Tying for the team his in scoring with 15 for the game. 

Hamilton had a big lead at halftime but the number one seed in Division I, did not go away easy. Mountain View clawed all the way back to tie the game late but key buckets from Lauren Evans and Aliyah Dickson allowed the Huskies to move onto the final game. 

They will face the team considered the number one ranked women’s team in the nation, the St. Mary’s Knights who defeated Dobson 61-26 earlier in the day. Tip-off for the final game is at 2pm from Jobing.com Arena.
