NAU slow to jump in the Arizona recruiting race

slider scholarship_recruitingWhere’s NAU?

South Dakota State came in and offered seven Arizona student-athlete’s over the past two weeks. Eastern Washington offered Buckeye linebacker DeAndre Miller. Why hasn’t NAU offered a single Arizona football prospect?

I know they have been in the middle of hiring a new offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach but if South Dakota State can come in and get after some Arizona kids, why can’t NAU. I can think of a dozen kids that don’t currently have offers that NAU should be all over, not to mention the seven kids SDSU offered. Those names include Brophy OL Charlie Renfree, Brophy DB Robert Relf, Desert Vista safety Nick Farina, Liberty QB Tyler Rogers, Desert Ridge RB J.J. Husar, Mountain Pointe RB Thomas Warren, Chandler TE Patrick Baldenegro, Centennial OL Hayden Johnson, Salpointe OL Travis Fister, Salpointe LB Carlos Carroll, Desert Ridge OL Nick Allen, Red Mountain OL Colin Marquez, Notre Dame LB Luke Taffuri, Northwest Christian safety Trevor Osborne, Desert Edge Kyle Woolard and Notre Dame Prep corner Mo White. Those are just the names off the top of my head that I am certain will get D-I offers.

I will admit that NAU has done a much better job over the past two years at recruiting in-state but it looks like something has changed this year. If they are serious about recruiting Arizona, be the first to offer.
