Business as usual for White Mountain football teams

It was business as usual for White Mountain football teams this last week as the favorites won big.

Blue Ridge kept their perfect record, notched 68 straight victories and gave Coach Paul Moro his 301st win as they rolled Alchesay 66-0 in Whiteriver.

The winless Falcons will travel to San Carlos for the “Apache Bowl” Friday night hoping to get that first win while Blue Ridge will travel to Apache Junction to take on the Apache Junction Prospectors.

At Show Low the Show Low Cougars remain undefeated at 7-0 as they topped Winslow 40-7 Friday night. The Bulldogs, 4-3, will host Coconino of Flagstaff and Show Low hosts Safford.

The Snowflake Lobos thumped the Page Sand Devils 56-20 to move to 5-2. The Lobos will host the Round Valley Elks October 12th. The Elks trampled Window Rock 60-6 to improve to 3-4 on the year.

St. Johns pulled off the mild upset of the week as the Division V Redskins knocked off Division IV Holbrook 42 -0. St Johns will travel to Canyon State in Mesa and Holbrook will host Walden Grove of Sahuarita.

In 8 man football the Mogollon Mustangs were on a stampede after falling to Scottsdale Prep last week. The Mustangs kicked Mesa Prep 56-12. Mogollon, 6-1 on the year, will host Rock Point Friday night in Heber.
