Cardinals don’t do enough, lose to Minnesota

Eight straight losses at Minnesota, three straight losses on the season. Mistakes, questionable play calling and the continued issues on offense and we are left with a team that feels like they are in a free fall after Sundays 21-14 loss to the Vikings, dropping to 4-3 on the year.

Vikings running back Adrian Peterson would run for 153 yards, score a touchdown and would average 6.7 yards per carry.

Cardinals kicker Jay Feely pushed a field goal to the right, just before halftime that would’ve cut the gap to just four.

Quarterback John Skelton threw a six yard TD pass to Andre Roberts in the final moments but that was as close as the Cardinals would get.

The game would feature more than a few questionable play calls by offensive coordinator Mike Miller and head coach Ken Whisenhunt.

The Cardinals would go for a 4th and two in the fourth quarter down 21-7 only to see John Skelton come up far short.

Later in the final quarter, the Cardinals were penalized for delay of game pushing them to a 4th and 10.

The Cardinals would dominate time of possession 35:05 to just 24:55 for the Vikings.

Minnesota quarterback Christian Ponder would throw two interceptions and finish with only 58 yards passing.

But it all just wasn’t enough.
