It was the first game in Prescott following the death of the 19 firefighters who perished earlier this summer. The Badgers upset the Yellow Jackets 30-14. It was the first regular season loss for Blue Ridge since 2008. Next week the Badgers host D-3 state title runner-up Desert Edge

Phoenix Christian traveled to the town of Welton, just east of Yuma on I-8, and beat Antelope 49-6. I know Welton as the place that I stop for a good price on gas before heading into California.

Basha High traveled to Henderson, Nevada and pounded out a 41-17 win over Green Valley. Quarterback Zach Werlinger tossed four touchdowns and running back Rajhan Meriweather scored four times. Basha at Centennial next week is a game to circle on your viewing calendar.
