ASU lands valley offensive line-duo for 2015 class

Now for the second time in as many recruiting classes, the Arizona State Sun Devil football program will make a big addition from offensive lineman that hail from the east valley. In the 2014 class it was Higley’s Quinn Bailey. On Monday, the additions started with Williams Field offensive tackle, Cade Cote.

Standing around 6-5 and 270 pounds, the soon-to-be senior Cote is one of the top prospects in Arizona for the 2015 class. He recently took an unofficial visit down the road to the campus of ASU and ultimately decided to make his commitment before the start of his senior year.

Cote had eight offers before announcing his commitment which consisted of: Arizona, Boise State, Colorado, Kansas State, Nevada, Oregon and Oregon State.

Cote also gets it done in the classroom as he was named to the Sports360AZ.com First Team All-Academic list for the 2013 season from sporting a 4.29 GPA.

But ASU was not done there. On Monday, they also landed a commitment from another offensive tackle from the east valley. Gilbert’s Steven Miller announced his vow to the Sun Devils as well.

Miller has been a rising star in the recruiting world because of his great size. He stands 6-6 and around 300 pounds and is a player that was on few’s radars just a year ago. Well what a difference a year can make.

Like Cote, Miller had eight total offers which included: Arizona, Boise State, BYU, Colorado, San Diego State, Utah, and Washington.

Cote and Miller now join Chandler’s Bryce Perkins as Phoenix prospects of the 2015 class to commit to ASU.
