Flag happy Cards, Stanford QB Hogan comes to Tempe, Buzz builds around Hamilton RB

Arizona Sports News online

The Cardinals racked up 14 penalties, Washington quarterback Kirk Cousins threw three fourth quarter interceptions. It wasn’t a thing of beauty, but the Cardinals 30-20 win moved their record to 4-1 on the season. The biggest takeaway from the game for me was the play of Carson Palmer. It had been a month since he’d seen game action. I thought he played very well…

Washington is a bad team, ’nuff said…

Who was the last Texas Longhorn to be drafted by an NFL team?
ANSWER-In 2013 the Cardinals selected Alex Okafor(who had two sacks on Sunday) in the fourth round. UT didn’t have a player selected in the 2014 draft…

So if Raider fans egged the Chargers buses as the team entered the stadium parking lot on Sunday, what will happen next week when Palmer returns to the dumpy Oakland Coliseum?

Stanford has owned Arizona State in recent years. The Sun Devils haven’t found a way to beat the Cardinal since Dennis Erickson and Jim Harbaugh squared off back in 2008. The physical domination by Stanford in last Decembers Pac-12 title game was staggering. Six players off that team were drafted, so this has been a season of reloading in the Bay Area.
Looking forward to seeing Stanford quarterback Kevin Hogan on Saturday. There are those who are already of the opinion that Hogan will be one of the top quarterbacks taken in the 2016 draft. One scout told me he has “some Philip Rivers in him”…

Remember the name-Juwar Jordan, running back Hamilton High School. Two Pac-12 assistant coaches have already given me the line “i’ve been hearing about him”. Last Wednesday, Jordan scored six touchdowns, three by punt return for Hamiltons freshman team. One longtime coach on the Hamilton staff sent a text “best freshman I’ve ever seen”…
