Player of the Week

* Playing with a broken finger, Pinnacle’s Brian Lewerke threw for 314 yards and 5 TDs in a win over Horizon.

QBs

* Naz Greer from Marcos had 281 yards and 5 TDs in a win over Mesquite.

* Tempe handed Moon Valley their first loss but Shannon Burton had a good night for the Rockets. He had 270 yards and 4 TDs in the air and 139 on the ground.

* Junior Gunther Johnson from Boulder Creek had 6 total TDs against North Canyon.

* Riley McAdam broke Yuma’s single season passing record. He has 2,130 on the year.

* Thatcher’s Heath Motes had 206 passing yards and 120 rushing with 4 TDs ina win versus Joy Christian.

* Saguaro junior Kare Lyles had 292 yards and 5 TDs against Higley. Byron Murphy had 6 catches for 225 yards and 4 TDs.

* Chandler’s Bryce Perkins threw for 260 yards and 3 TDs against Basha.

* Junior Isaac Steele from Centennial had 4 passing and 2 rushing TDs versus Willow Canyon.

* ALA’s Cameron Haag had 357 yards and 4 TDs versus Bourgade. Brady Cook caught 3 of the TDs.

* Bourgade’s Luke Dreher had 355 yards and 3 TDs.

* O’Connor junior Bailin Markridge had 4 total TDs versus Mt. Ridge.

* Nick Smith from Scottsdale Prep had 354 yards and 5 TDs against Chandler Prep. Ben McKeighan had 279 receiving yards and 3 TDs.

* Chris Williams from Valley Christian threw for 245 yards and 5 TDs. WR Alijah Gammage caught 3 TD passes.

* Gabe Losada from St. Mary’s threw for 532 yards and 7 TDs. Jeremiah Sullivan caught 13 passes for 184 yards and 3 scores.

* PV junior Daniel Bridge-Gadd had 5 total TDs versus Notre Dame. Fellow junior Jacob Brown caught 5 passes from Bridge-Gadd for 148 yards and 2 scores.

* Arcadia’s Jake Sheedy threw for 273 yards and 3 scores.

* Alhambra found a passing game versus TBird. Tyler Sexton had 304 yards and 3 TDs in their loss.

* Dysart’s Gilbert Villalobos threw for 388 yards and 5 TDs versus Greenway. Deandre Johnson and Kwasi Okafor each had 2 TDs receiving.

* Bradshaw Mountain’s Gunner Bunderick threw for 384 yards and 5 scores. Colton Audsley, Brandon Careno and David Otero each had 100 yards.

* Darin Spottsville from Shadow Mountain threw 4 TD passes and ran in 2 more versus Phoenix Christian.

RBs

* La Joya’s Javian Roebuck had 220 yards and 4 TDs in a win over Tolleson.

* Brophy junior Ryan Velez had 200 yards and 3 TDs against Dobson.

* Desert Ridge’s Taren Morrison had 3 TDs versus Desert Mountain.

* SCA’s Kody Scott had 4 TDs against Veritas Prep.

* Ironwood Ridge’s Mike Franzese had 208 yards and 3 TDs versus Catalina.

* Queen Creek’s Weston Barlow ran for 224 yards and 4 TDs versus AJ.

* Sabino senior Marquis Chamblee had 3 TDs versus Douglas.

* Deer Valley’s Jordan Bradshaw ran for 241 yards and 3 TDs against Prescott.

* Ross Dietz from Verrado had 3 TDs versus Sierra Linda.

* Seton’s Antonio Campanella had 4 TDs versus Chino Valley.

Receivers

* Christian Kirk from Saguaro had 5 carries for 147 yards and 3 TDs as well as a receiving TD versus Higley.

* Cules Rose from Pinnacle had over 200 yards and 3 TDs versus Horizon.

* Skyline WR Cory Anderson had 178 yards and 3 TDs.

Defense/Special Teams/Misc.

* Ryan Parenteau, senior safety at Boulder Creek, had 2 INTs versus North Canyon.

* The Yuma Catholic defense had 4 TDs versus Antelope.

* Red Mountain kicker Devon Farnsworth had successful onside kick and then just seconds later made a 38 yard field goal to beat Mesa Mt. View.

* The Mingus OL paved the way for three 100 yard rushers Friday. Levi Collins, Tristan Clark and Orlando Machado each topped the century mark versus Coconino.
