ASU Baseball Coach Tracy Smith Provides Draft Analysis Like Only He Can

Arizona Sports News online

If you know anything about Tracy Smith and his family, you know they do sports and social media very, very well. The ASU head baseball coach provided some great insight and analysis on the nine Sun Devils selected in the 2015 MLB Draft. He started things off by congratulating two southpaws in his rotation who were selected in the first five rounds:

Smith couldn’t help but share the excitement of ASU Director of Baseball Operations Brendan “Bucky” Cunningham when INF/P David Graybill was selected by Cunningham’s beloved San Francisco Giants:

The Sun Devil skipper didn’t waste an opportunity to reference one of his most-tweeted about shows when pitcher Darin Gillies was selected by the Seattle Mariners in the 10th round:

He also didn’t hesitate to start mooching off closer Ryan Burr when he was selected by the hometown team:

Outfielders Johnny Sewald and Trever Allen were picked.  Then the wordplay happened…and it was glorious:

He gave infielder Dalton DiNatale a snazzy new nickname when he was selected by Washington, and then outfielder Jake Peevyhouse was the second Sun Devil drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks with the Cory Hahn pick in the 34th round:

Coach also had a second to congratulate the guys from his former team up at Indiana:

Then he dropped the mic:

Keep ’em coming, Coach.
