Arizona Lands Playmaking Linebacker to Class of 2016

The Arizona Wildcats continue to make headway for the class of 2016 on the defensive side of the ball as Tuesday night, they landed another commitment out of Los Angeles.

Jacob Colacion is a 6-1, 215 pound outside linebacker from La Habra High School in La Habra, California. Officially offered by the Wildcats back on April 21st and took a visit to Tucson in early June. He had 13 reported offers in addition to Arizona which included Boise State, Illinois, Indiana, Nevada, Northwestern, San Diego State and Washington State.

Colacion is a fast and aggressive linebacker and when watching him on film (which can be seen above), he possesses a very high IQ for the game with an understanding blitz gaps showing great anticipation.

Back in May, he participated in the Los Angeles Rivals camp and was named MVP of the camp. Rivals and Scout have him as a three star prospect.

The Scooby Wright effect is in fill force for the Wildcats as this is now the second linebacker that to join the program and suit up in 2016. Arizona also landed Iowa transfer John Kenny who will have to sit out in 2015 due to NCAA transfer rules. Both Colacion and Kenny will be in position to carry on the big burden that is taking over for Wright after he most likely declares for the NFL Draft after his 2015 junior season.

For the 2016 class, Colacion becomes the eighth Wildcat commit and the fourth on the defensive side of the ball.
