Arizona State Men’s Basketball Agrees To Home-And-Home With Kansas

The Arizona State men’s basketball program will play Kansas in a home-and-home series for the 2017 and 2018 seasons.

The Sun Devils will travel to Allen Fieldhouse on December 10, 2017 and the Jayhawks will head to Wells Fargo Arena on December 22, 2018.

Recent non-conference history

While under Bobby Hurley, the Sun Devils have had programs like Kentucky, San Diego State, Creighton, North Carolina State and Marquette grace their non-conference schedule.

“We are excited about playing Kansas in each of the next two seasons. We have had our team travel to Lexington last year, play the No. 1 team in the Bahamas and also play in the Jimmy V Classic in Madison Square Garden, so this is another great step,” Hurley said in a press release. “This home-and-home is the kind of series we want on our schedule. Getting great programs to visit Wells Fargo Arena is a high priority, and we appreciate Kansas and Coach Self agreeing to what will be a very entertaining two-year match-up.”

Kansas is currently the top team in the nation and just won it’s 13th straight Big 12 regular season title.

The Jayhawks and the Sun Devils were linked recently when Sam Cunliffe, Bobby Hurley’s first commitment at Arizona State, transferred from the program after ten games. His landing spot was Kansas.
