Many have been hit hard by the news that schools will not return to campus for the remainder of the academic year. It’s a tough and transformative time for all, but especially for the senior class, the class of 2020. Sports360AZ wants to hear from those seniors on how they’re adjusting, what they’re feeling and how this experience can make them stronger moving forward in a segment we call “2020 Vision.”
Sunrise Mountain pom member Bre Ferris has adapted quite well during the pandemic – despite being one of the thousands of seniors who have seen their spring semester evaporate due to COVID-19.
“We FaceTime every so often but I still see my friends because my parents are a little more on the lenient side from the stay at home order,” Ferris said during a Skype interview with Sports360AZ.com. “It’s the same people I hung out before [the pandemic] so they don’t want to keep me away from them.”
Most of her time has been spent at home with her family. She’s taken advantage of home schooling by sleeping in a bit later and balancing her schedule to keep her mind and body right.
