Just hours after the NBA season was suspended due to a positive test of Coronavirus, the National Hockey League released the following statement.
“The National Hockey League is aware of the NBA’s decision tonight to indefinitely suspend its season due to a player testing positive for Coronavirus. The NHL is continuing to consult with medical experts and is evaluating the options. We expect to have a further update tomorrow.”

It has already been announced that March Madness will be played with no fans in attendance, and the NBA news comes after Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for the virus on Wednesday evening, as reported by The Athletic.

As for the NHL, they have not yet discovered a case of the disease, but the situation is continuing to be monitored closely, and there will likely be another statement from the league coming soon. The Arizona Coyotes have a home game against the Vancouver Canucks tomorrow night at Gila River Arena.
