Arizona State point guard Remy Martin will return to the Sun Devils and withdraw from the 2020 NBA Draft.

The Sun Devil point guard earned All-Pac-12 honors last year, averaging 19.1 points per game, which was second best in the conference.

Martin is slated to share the backcourt with 2019-20 Pac-12 Sixth Man of the Year Alonzo Verge, who also tested the NBA draft waters.

The point guard’s return will provide Bobby Hurley with one of his deepest and most talented rosters he’s ever had. The roster also features multi-year contributor Kimani Lawrence, Jalen Graham and Jaelen House, who are coming off of productive freshman years, and one of the most decorated recruiting classes coming in headlined by Josh Christopher, ASU’s highest-rated commitment ever, and Marcus Bagley.

Martin is believed to be the favorite for conference player of the year this season. The guard came to ASU as a highly-rated recruit and made an immediate impact off the bench backing up Tra Holder, Shannon Evans and Kodi Justice on his way to the Sixth Man of the Year.

As a sophomore, Martin took over starting point guard duties and was named to the Pac-12 All-Conference Team second team before his impressive season last year, where he led the Sun Devils in points, assists and steals per game.

The Sun Devils have reached the 20 win mark in each of Martin’s three years on the roster and are poised to make it a fourth straight season should a (somewhat) normal basketball season commence this winter.
