Sitdown With Jazmine Hill

A home run to start her Arizona State softball career in 2020. That’s the most memorable moment at Alberta B. Farrington Stadium for Jazmine Hill so far.

Hill is recognized by Softball America as the number 16 ranked sophomore in the country, after hitting .328 with five home runs and 20 RBI during her freshman campaign

“I just want to continue making achievements and making sure that everyone knows my name,” the sophomore right fielder said. “Just continuing to be one of those top names that everyone is talking about.”

The Norwalk, Calif. native wears number 77 because it’s unique and helps people remember her name when she’s blasting dingers all over the field. She’s picked up right where she left off prior to COVID-19 halting the season last year. Through five games she’s hitting .412 with two home runs and nine RBI.

The Sun Devils, who are 5-0, have lofty goals for 2021. Hill knows how important she is to the offense and spent rigorous hours during the offseason to improve upon her approach at the plate.

“We want to go far,” Hill said. “I’m doing everything I can to help this team win as many games as possible.”
