6A State Preview – Chandler Wolves vs Perry Pumas

The Chandler Wolves are looking to win their third state title in four years, and have the depth and experience to do it. There are multiple playmakers on the offense that can take over the game for the Wolves, and they have one of the best defenses in the state to go with it. The Wolves haven’t shied away from the big stage recently. Playing in last year’s state championship, earning a GEICO Bowl win in December and going up against the IMG Academy in September. They beat the Pumas 55-27 this October but no it won’t be an easy contest on Saturday.

The Perry Pumas have been building their program for years, and Preston Jones has taken the Pumas to new heights with a state championship appearance. You can’t talk about Perry and not mention quarterback Brock Purdy, who has been an absolute stat-filler in the air and on the ground and has been the leader of the program for multiple years. Perry has a plethora of playmakers on the offense and the defense is starting to play its best football.

The 6A state championship kicks off at 7:07 p.m. at Arizona Stadium on Saturday.
