It’s no secret that Jacob Conover and Gunner Romney are among the best tandems in Arizona high school football.
That was evident (and then some) on Friday night when the duo connected for five touchdowns and the Chandler Wolves cruised to a 51-10 victory over the #7 Red Mountain Mountain Lions.
The Wolves are the defending state champs and find themselves in another 6A title game with many of those key contributors from last year’s team front and center in 2017.
Chandler will play the #4 Perry Pumas on December 2nd at Arizona Stadium in Tucson for the 6A title. The Wolves beat the Pumas in the regular season 55-27.
