Should a college basketball season happen – in whatever form it may be – Arizona State has been well positioned to contend for a Pac-12 title. A top-10 recruiting class headlined by Josh Christopher and Marcus Bagley and some key returners with another year of experience felt like the stars were aligning for the Sun Devils.
Saturday solidified that even more.
2019-20 Pac-12 Sixth Man of the Year Alonzo Verge withdrew his name from the NBA draft and will return to Tempe.

Verge averaged 14.6 points per game, 3.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists in his first year with the Devils after transferring from Moberly Area Community College in Missouri.
The guard finished the season strong, posting double-digit points in 12 of his last 13 games in conference play.
Verge’s backcourt mate Remy Martin also announced his intentions to explore his NBA Draft draft prospects on March 30th. The Sun Devils’ leading scorer has until August 3rd or 10 days after the NBA Draft combine, whichever comes first, to return to ASU.
