Arizona Comes Up Short Against USC

After a 13-point fourth quarter and the defense forcing a few turnovers late, the Arizona Wildcats fell short of a comeback and lost to USC 24-20. At half, the Wildcats were down 17-0.

The Trojans ran for 253 yards and held Arizona to under 100 rushing yards. USC also lost three fumbles and had 160 penalty yards on Saturday.

Both teams struggled on third down – USC converted 5/16 third downs while the Wildcats converted 4/16.

Khalil Tate went 16/33 for 232 yards, two touchdowns, an interception and 38 rushing yards on 13 carries.

Colin Schooler led the way on defense with 13 tackles, .5 tackles for loss and a forced fumble.

Arizona will host Cal (3-1) next week while USC has a bye.
