Young Guys Making Plays

Winger Brendan Perlini scored a goal in three consecutive games going into Tuesday’s game against the Kings. The last time a Coyotes’ rookie scored a goal in three straight games was Peter Mueller in 2008. Perlini leads Coyotes rookies with 13 goals and is third on the team in goals behind Radim Vrbata (17) and Tobias Rieder (15)

Left-winger Lawson Crouse scored the Coyotes 7th short hand goal of season Thursday, tying for 7th most in NHL. Defenseman Jakob Chychurn scored his seventh goal of the season, which is the second most among rookie defensemen in the NHL.

Defenseman Anthony DeAngelo scored the winning goal in the 11-round shootout against the Kings Tuesday. DeAngelo was recalled from the AHL affiliate, Tucson Roadrunners at the end of February.

Domi-nation

Winger Max Domi was out earlier this season with a hand injury, but since his return, has been key for the Yotes. Tuesday, Domi had his first multi-goal game of the season, his sixth in his career. Domi has nine goals this season and is fourth on the team in assists with 22.

Vrbata Leading

Radim Vrbata leads the team with 17 goals and 51 points now. With Thursday night’s goal, Vrbata has now recorded a point in 14 of his last 18 games.
