Arizona Lands Graduate Transfer Tollefsen

Arizona Sports News online

In addition to the nation’s top recruiting class, the Arizona Wildcats will now have three transfers that will be suiting up for the team next season. It comes at a time where the team has lost four of it’s five starters from last season.

JUCO transfer Kadeem Allen and Boston College transfer Ryan Anderson have already been with the team for a year but on Friday night, the Wildcats added another transfer to the roster in Mark Tollefsen.

Tollefsen is a 6-9, 200 pound forward from Northern California is coming off of his “junior” season where he was Second team All-WCC selection for the University of San Francisco. He led the Dons in scoring (14.0) and was third in rebounding (5.4) last season. He is a tall, lengthy forward who can shoot from the perimeter (38% last season) but also attack the basket off the dribble with the ability to finish with highlight reel dunks. Here is one for example:

Tollefsen comes to the Wildcats as a graduate transfer with one year of eligibility. Arizona once again will be loaded with talent on their roster but it will be a big undertaking getting all of these new faces on the roster on the same page. At the end of the day, that is not a bad problem to have.
