Adia Barnes and the Arizona women’s basketball program are one win away from the Final Four. In the first Sweet 16 appearance since 1998, the Wildcats were led by Aari McDonald, who dropped 31 points to help take down Texas A&M 74-59 in San Antonio.

Arizona shot nearly 50 percent from three-point range and was on fire offensively. McDonald drained six three-pointers to match her career-high and was a force all night, going 12-21 from the field.

All-around, it was a total team effort as the Wildcats continued to push out their lead in the second half. As a team, Arizona shot over 45 percent from the field and continued to put pressure on the Aggies. They knocked down 13 threes to put the game out of reach.

In just her fifth season at the helm, Barnes has continued to elevate the program and make history. She now has Arizona in the Elite Eight for the first time ever. They will face the fourth-seed, Indiana, with an opportunity to go to the Final Four.
