Arizona Wildcats remain undefeated, beat UCLA

Arizona Sports News online

Top ranked Arizona and UCLA in a heavyweight matchup on the Bruins home court ended up being everything that you could ask for in a college basketball game. The Cats remained undefeated, beating the Bruins 79-75 and moved to 16-0, the best start since 1931-32 season.
Nick Johnson led the offensive attack with 22 points. The Cats shot 53 percent for the game.
Head coach Sean Miller was very pleased with the win, “we embrace it, we haven’t gotten anything from being number one, if we aren’t ready Sunday against USC on Sunday they will beat us”.
UCLA went on a 13-0 run over a three minute span late in the second half to tie the game at 68.
It’s really too bad that these two teams won’t meet again in the regular season. In a scheduling decision, UCLA won’t travel to Tucson this season.
As a fan of the game, I’m hoping that the two schools will meet again at some point during the Pac-12 Tourney in March.
