Many of the experts predicted this would be a busy week for ASU football recruiting.
It certainly has delivered.
Two days after four-star cornerback Tommi Hill committed to ASU, the Sun Devils added commitments from Virginia athlete Martin Lucas and four-star Washington wide receiver Junior Alexander
Lucas plays running back and linebacker and said his physical growth over the coming years could determine which side of the ball he plays on.

247 Sports’ Brian Dohn had this to say on how Lucas can impact both sides of the ball:
As a running back, Lucas reminds me of Manuel White Jr. from UCLA back in the 2000s. He is big, strong and balanced between the tackles, and the defense would hate having to tackle him late in games.
As either a strong side linebacker or an edge rusher, Lucas has the strength to play at the point of attack and he would be best going toward the line of scrimmage. He has to learn how to play in space if he is going to be a linebacker.
Dohn also reported Lucas has grown two inches and gained 20 pounds this offseason. He currently stands at 6-foot-2 and 245 pounds.
Alexander is coming off an impressive junior season where he caught 67 passes for 1,328 yards and 24 touchdowns.
The 6-foot-3, 180-pound wide receiver holds 17 offers including eight from the Pac-12 and continues an impressive line of wide receiver commits for the Sun Devils. In the 2020 class, ASU finished strong and added four four-star wide receiver signees.

Lucas and Alexander are the ninth and 10th public commitments of the 2021 class.
