ASU football head coach Herm Edwards is ramped up to coach a game for the first time in a month, as are all the coaches and players. On top of the struggles caused by canceled games due to COVID-19 quarantine and contact tracing protocols, the Sun Devils now have another issue to deal with.
According to Doug Haller of The Athletic, the team has suspended senior corner back Jack Jones and junior safety Aashari Crosswell indefinitely for team-conduct reasons. It’s unclear if they’ll be available for the scheduled home opener against UCLA this Saturday.

Jones is a starter who played a critical role on defense, with five tackles and a deflected pass in the loss to USC in the season opener on Nov. 7. Crosswell was a starter his first two seasons in Tempe, but had a smaller role against the Trojans.
If Jones isn’t allowed to play, either redshirt junior Timarcus Davis or redshirt freshman Jordan Clark could fill in as the starter.
