ASU softball going to World Series

The Sun Devils are headed back to the Women’s College World Series.

Arizona State punched its ticket to Oklahoma City, Okla., by virtue of its 5-2 win over Kentucky on Sunday afternoon in the Tempe Super Regional.

This will be the Sun Devils’ 11th trip to the Women’s College World Series and seventh under head coach Clint Myers. They’ll take on Texas on Thursday, May 30, at 4 p.m. Arizona time.

With the win, Dallas Escobedo improves to 30-4 on the season. She’s 5-0 (1.24 ERA) in the postseason.

The last time Arizona State went to the Women’s College World Series was in 2012. They finished fourth.

The softball program is 18-16 in the WCWS.
