The Northern Arizona Lumberjacks received some big news to their already impressive 2016 recruiting class with two very talented in-state players.
Centennial offensive lineman Steven Bailey took an official visit to Flagstaff this weekend and as a result, committed. The 6-3, 290 pound offensive lineman, and Sports360AZ All-Academic Honorable Mention honoree, had recently been offered by Montana State and also held nine offers including Air Force, Army, New Mexico, New Mexico State, South Dakota State and Weber State. Among all of those, the in-state Lumberjacks were the first to offer him and were ultimately rewarded for doing so.

“I fell in love with it here,” Bailey told Sports360AZ. “NAU was my first offer and they really believed in me. I feel like I could make a huge impact right away.”
This weekend, NAU also landed a commitment from one of Arizona’s most talented running backs. Joe Logan from Estrella Foothills was a stat filling machine after breaking out onto the scene as a junior and then as a senior, led the state in rushing with over 2,600 yards rushing and 35 touchdowns. The 5-11, 185 pound back chose NAU over South Dakota State and Weber State.
