The hottest team out of the starting gates in the state for softball has been the Basha Bears.
Despite an excellent fight from the Horizon Huskies, the Basha Bears remained undefeated, knocking off the Huskies 8-6.
Kylie Shull for the Bears got things started in the first inning with a two-run double. Kaylee Regester led the Bears to victory with outstanding pitching on the mound early. She got the job done with the bat as well with a double and a home run driving in two runs on the day.
Horizons freshman pitcher tomorrow Stackman got rocked early and only lasted an inning on the mound. But she made up for it with the bat with a two run homerun which kept the Huskies close throughout.
With the loss Horizon falls to 9-5 on the season and Basha remains perfect at 13-0.
