Basha quarterback Demond Williams Jr. has already impressed early in his high school career.
The quarterback earned the starting nond as a freshman – no small task – and completed 63.6% of his passes with 19 touchdowns. He threw four interceptions, but only two after Week 2 and helped lead Basha to a 6-3 record and a playoff berth.
This offseason, he’s been a part of a young group of Bears receiving plenty of recruiting attention, playing within the 7-on-7 circuit and preparing for track season.
Since the calendar turned to 2021, Florida Atlantic, NAU, Central Michigan, Arizona, Colorado, Iowa State and UNLV offered Williams.
Williams catches up with the Recruiting Roundup to talk about his freshman success, his recruitment and how he hopes to help bring Basha to new heights.
