Best in the West: Centennial’s Richard Taylor, Northwest Christian’s David Inness

It’s a Championship Edition of the Best in the West Podcast! We look ahead to Centennial’s Battle for the 5A Championship against Notre Dame Prep as well as Northwest Christians 3A title win vs Yuma Catholic last week.

First, Centennial head coach, Richard Taylor helps us preview the 5A Championship. How has CeHS been so competitive over his 28-year tenure, and what are some of the keys to beat the Saints for the second straight year. Also, what does it mean to take five teams of ‘Yotes in a row to a state championship?

Then, Northwest Christian coach, David Inness hops on to go over their first state title since 2012. Coach Inness follows up by telling us what it is like as a father on the sidelines watching your son score the game-winning touchdown.

Even though this might close out your football season, be sure to go more in-depth with these championships by reading up on the games in the weekly Best in the West Notebook!
