Saguaro offensive tackle is one of the most sought-after prospects in the 2021 class.
The 6-foot-4, 270-pound tackle holds offers from Memphis, ASU, Michigan, Oklahoma State, Oregon, LSU, Auburn, Utah, BYU, Colorado, Ohio State, Texas A&M, USC, Oregon State, Arizona, Washington, Iowa State, Texas, Mississippi State, Florida State, UCLA, Tennessee and Arkansas.
If there was any doubt he belonged the elite, he solidified that on Sunday at the Under Armour All-American Combine at Williams Field High School. He was one of three players to earn an invite to the 2022 Under Armour All-America Game.

“It feels like a dream finally came true,” Walden said. “I’m truly blessed and honored to be given this opportunity to be out here so I’m just having fun.”
Saguaro has had a long list of All-Americans, and Walden joins a group that features Kelee Ringo, Christian Kirk, Byron Murphy and K.J. Jarrell.
It means a lot. I’ve been working so hard and Coach Martinez has been pushing me every day. Great teammates, great coaches, great family around me, so it’s just a blessing for this to come true.”
Arizona has been well-represented at the bowl game in recent years. Players like N’Keal Harry, Jake Smith and Brayden Liebrock all participated and now ASU football coach Herm Edwards was a long-time coach when he was an ESPN analyst. Most recently, Hamilton’s Brenden Rice, Higley’s Jason Harris and Mesa’s Jaden Green played in the 2020 edition of the game.
Should Walden accept the invite, he may have a commitment date set up as well.
“If I get a chance, I’d like to do it (at the Under Armour Game),” Walden said. “If I find a school that I know is right, I’ll probably commit sooner. But ever since I’ve been a kid, I’ve always wanted to do this, so if I get an opportunity to commit at the game, I might have to do it.”
