Whenever two-time Cup Series Champion, Kyle Busch, enters into a NASCAR Xfinity Series race, he’s expected to dominate.
Busch wasn’t a fan of how his car ran all weekend, and it showed at the end of the race. 23-year-old, Brandon Jones, tracked down Busch with 20 laps to go, taking the lead and holding on to take the win.
The victory is Jones’ first victory of the year and his second career win in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. The win for Joe Gibbs Racing gave the team 13 Xfinity Series wins at the Avondale race track.
The FanShield500 caps off Speed Fest Weekend at Phoenix Raceway with action starting on FOX at 12:00 p.m. MST. Kyle Busch is the defending Spring winner.
