With a dynamic backfield of Draycen Hall and James Mageo, playmakers up front like Avery Demmons and Ty Robinson and a versatile receiving corps, Higley has plenty of weapons to make a deep run in the 4A state playoffs for years to come.
They added another weapon to the arsenal in Jason Harris.

The former Desert Ridge defensive end has enrolled in Higley and will become a Knight, first reported by Sports360AZ’s Andy Silvas and Jason Jewell. Harris is an incoming sophomore who is slated to be one of the nation’s top high school football recruits in the 2020 class.
As a freshman with the Jaguars, Harris 15 tackles, 6.5 sacks and an interception. He has elite size, standing at 6-foot-7 and 215 pounds with a frame to add weight.
But it’s not just football.
Harris was also a star on the basketball court, averaging 12.5 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.1 blocks per game as a freshman and was invited to the Team USA 16-U training camp at Team USA headquarters in Colorado Springs.
