Perry quarterback Brock Purdy’s recruitment is one for the ages. After thrashing the 6A division for multiple years, leading the Perry Pumas to new heights and bringing in all types of awards, the quarterback’s recruitment was, well, pretty quiet.
That changed when Boise State offered him in late December. Then Kansas, UCF, Iowa State, Colorado State, Alabama, Illinois and Texas A&M did the same. He was one of the hottest recruits in the entire country.
On Wednesday, Purdy committed to Iowa State, and the newest Cyclone was nice enough to sit down with Sports360AZ to go in-depth on his journey, what he learned and what excites him about Iowa State.
Ames To AZ Pipeline
Purdy joins multiple Iowa State commitments from Arizona including Deer Valley offensive lineman Joey Ramos, a top Arizona offensive lineman in the class, Brayden Narveson, the top 2018 Arizona kicker and 2019 wide receiver D’Shayne James, who was on the receiving end of plenty of Purdy passes for the Perry Pumas this year.
