Butt, Seriously: AS(S)U Student Pays Off Bet

Arizona Sports News online

Tommy Czerwinski is a man of his word and Saturday afternoon at the College Bar & Grill in Tempe, he proved it.

The Arizona State alum, who graduated last May and is now working towards his Master’s degree in real estate development vowed he would get a “Bobby F***ing Hurley” tattoo on his rear end if the Sun Devils upset then top-ranked Kansas last month.

We all remember how that ended.

Hurley got word (and a good laugh) of the bet but politely asked Czerwinski not to put his name permanently on his body. Thus, a black pitch fork now sits on his right butt cheek.

“I love being a Sun Devil,” Czerwinski said to Sports360AZ.com. “I go to all the football and basketball games. What better way to show my support for the program than getting [a tattoo] permanently on my body.”

The freshly-dawned ink seemed to be good luck for the Devils who snapped a modest two-game losing streak, routing Colorado just down the street at Wells Fargo Arena.

ASU football sideline reporter and Czerwinski family friend Jordan Simone emceed the event from the popular Tempe bar.

“I’m at a loss for words,” Simone quipped to Sports360AZ.com shortly after the event. “I have to thank everyone who was a part of this, Tommy’s butt especially. His right cheek to be specific.”
