A dominating 41-7 victory over Coconino in the 4A Quarterfinals on Friday night leads Cactus back to where heartbreak stuck in 2019. With the game nearly expired, the Cobras attempted a game-winning two-point conversion against eventual state champions, Mesquite, and came up short, losing by one point.
Now Cactus returns to the semis to tie up some, ‘unfinished business,’ as they will travel to #1 Casa Grande next Friday night.
