Throughout the NFL season Arizona Cardinals defensive end Calais Campbell joins Brad Cesmat every Tuesday at 12:15 for ‘Crunch Time with Calais’ on XTRA Sports 910 and Pros2Preps.com.
Each week he shares with us his ‘Calais Keys’ for the Cardinals next opponent.
Following the Cards blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers, they’re fourth-consecutive setback, the Red Birds travel to Lambeau Field to take on the Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. Kickoff Sunday is 11:00 a.m. with television coverage on FOX.
It all starts with Rodgers: “They’re as good as you get at the quarterback position. It doesn’t get much better than Aaron Rodgers. He can make any throw. He can scramble, make things happen with his legs. He’s a [All-Pro] so we’re going to have our hands full.”
Shutdown the Green Bay rushing attack: “They will try to run the ball and commit to it…even though they’ve struggled. If we don’t step up and shut it down I can see them trying to run the ball more than they typically do because we haven’t done a good job stopping that as of late.”
Trust the system: “We’ve been down before. It’s a part of football. The beauty about football is no matter what you did last week, you always have something to look forward to next week. We know it only takes one game to back into the rhythm…we’re streaky. If we get one win, one turns into two, two turns into three. We have a tough schedule [remaining] but if you want to be a good team, you’ve got to beat good teams.”
