The NFL suspended Cardinals practice-squad wide receiver Gerell Robinson for four games this past Friday, after Robinson tested positive for a performance-enhancing substance.
Whether or not the Cardinals choose to keep Robinson has yet to be determined.
In the meanwhile, the team had to make a move and fill his spot on the squad, and they did on Monday by signing wide receiver Kerry Taylor.
Taylor, a native of Chandler, Ariz., played his high school football at Hamilton High School before moving on to play football at Arizona State.
Prior to joining the Cardinals, Taylor was part of the Patriots practice squad.
Taylor originally signed with the Packers as a rookie free agent in 2011.
During last season, Taylor bounced between the Packers, Patriots and 49ers practice squads.
Taylor played in 46 games for the Sun Devils over a four-year span and had 112 catches for 1,433 yards and seven touchdowns.
Taylor is the son of former NFL defensive back Keith Taylor and the nephew of former 49ers wide receiver John Taylor.
