On Tuesday, the Cardinals made some changes to their practice squad roster, releasing cornerback Larry Parker and signing cornerback Greg McCoy.
McCoy comes over from the Chicago Bears, who drafted him in the seventh round (No. 220 overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft out of TCU. He spent the preseason with the Bears before being released on August 31.
McCoy started all 13 games in his senior season in Fort Worth, Texas, recording 32 tackles (25 solo), two interceptions and a team high seven passes defensed.
McCoy took part in 51 games (28 starts) and had 92 tackles (71 solo), seven interceptions and 17 passes defensed.
He has special teams skills, as evidenced by him being named Mountain West Conference Special Teams Player of the Year in his final season.
McCoy averaged 30.6 yards per kick return, and had two touchdowns.
For his career, McCoy had 52 kick returns for 1,505 yards and three touchdowns.
