As expected, Thursday afternoon was a busy one for the Arizona Cardinals. The organzation made a number of moves, seeing some players leave and others arrive as the NFL free-agency window officially opened for business.
Here’s a quick recap of what we know so far.

Veteran safety Antoine Bethea enters the nest on a three-year deal after being recently released by the San Francisco 49ers. His three-year deal became official Thursday morning as he was able to sign because he was cut by the Niners, not a free agent.
The 32-year-old, who led the 49ers in tackles last season, is familiar with Bruce Arians, Harold Goodwin and James Bettcher when all were in Indianapolis together.
“Playing these guys twice a year, knowing what type of organization it is,” Bethea said when introduced to the Phoenix media Thursday. “Of course, being familiar with a number of coaches on the staff. It just seemed like it was a good fit for me.”
Also announced was the re-signing of center A.Q. Shipley who now appears back in the mix at center.
It also appears another 49er, steady kicker Phil Dawson, could be on his way to the Valley as it appears streaky Chandler Cantanzaro will not be returning. Besides “Cat Man,” there are a number of Cardinals currently on the open market shopping their services.
Although nothing is official, there appears to mutual interest in another reunion between veteran linebacker Karlos Dansby and the team who drafted him.
GOING
Defensive tackle Calais Campbell and safety Tony Jefferson have new homes.
The Cards also lost young, playmaking safety D.J. Swearinger who signed with the Washington Redskins.
