Steve Keim is the Cardinals new general manager, which means his old position as Vice President of Player Personnel is open.
I should say was open, because it’s now filled, now that Jason Licht occupies that office.
Licht was promoted to the position after spending last season as Cardinals Director of Player Personnel.
Licht spent the 2008 season as the team’s personnel executive.
Licht had experience in this department before he even came to the Cardinals.
From 2009-11, Licht served as the Patriots Director of Pro Personnel. From 2007-11, Licht was the Eagles Vice President of Player Personnel.
He was also a member of the Patriots player personnel staff from 1999-2003.
Licht started his NFL career with the Dolphins in 1995 as an assistant in the college and pro personnel scouting departments.
Licht was also an offensive assistant/quality control coach before taking a position with National Football Scouting in 1997.
After spending a season on the Panthers scouting staff, he joined the Patriots in 1999.
