For the first time since 1986, the Arizona Cardinals will be taking part in the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio.
The NFL announced that the Cardinals will take on the New Orleans Saints at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Field at Fawcett Stadium on Sunday, August 5.
The game will air nationally on NFL Network, and will kick off at 5 p.m. Arizona time.
The Cardinals took on the New York Giants in the first ever Hall of Fame Game back in 1962. They tied the Giants 21-21 in that contest.
It will be the Cardinals fourth visit to Canton. They are 1-1-1 in their previous three visits.
The game will take place one day after the newest class of enshrinees are formally entered into the Hall of Fame on Saturday, August 4.
There are 11 members of the Cardinals organization who are enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Current Cardinals assistant head coach/offensive line coach Russ Grimm was inducted in 2010.
Tickets for the game will go on sale on March 13.
