It took some time for the Cardinals and guard Jonathan Cooper to agree on a deal, but on Sunday the team announced they’ve come to terms with Cooper on a four-year contract.
ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter is reporting that the deal is for $14.55 million over four years, with it all completely guaranteed, along with the offset language which has been a point of difficulty among some rookie deals.
According to ProFootballTalk, Cooper will get his full signing bonus sometime in early October. Within the next 10 days, Cooper will receive $3.4 million, $3 million on September 15 and $2.56 million on October 15.
Cooper will finally join the team at training camp. He’ll have to pass a physical and take the run test in front of his teammates, according to head coach Bruce Arians.
