Cards crushed by Saints, overshadowed by tragedy

Arizona Sports News online

I know, I know the Cardinals are 1-2 and there wasn’t much to like in Sundays 31-7 blowout loss to the Saints. All I care about is the human element in all of this. If one of my co-workers were to lose their father in a car accident we would all be devastated and not able to focus on our jobs. The easy move on the Cardinals is to try and break down the game from a X and O standpoint. It simply can’t be done in this case. The tragic death of starting nose tackle Dan Williams father would be enough to shake up anyone. Drew Brees at home throwing three scores and running for a fourth was just icing on the cake for the Saints.
The Cardinals are in Florida this week training for next Sundays game at Tampa Bay.
