When you google the word “positive”, a picture of Sandy Lundberg should pop up. The Casteel principal is in her third year of running the Colts program.
Her infectious smile and calm demeanor have been a big reason why the newest Chandler Unified School has gotten off to such a smooth start. 
But as is the case in life, adversity comes in all shapes and sizes. For Sandy Lundberg, her battle is with Stage 4 cancer. She was diagnosed in September and has been undergoing aggressive treatment, while her beloved football team has been on their remarkable playoff run. I sat down with Sandy to talk about her battle, and the positives she’s felt and seen from the football program.
There’s going to be a fundraiser to try and help with the rising medical bills.
