Las Vegas, NV-The Chandler Wolves may have lost more than a game Saturday night when two-way star Chase Lucas left against Bishop Gorman with a right knee injury.
The injury occurred early in the first quarter after Lucas’ knee was twisted awkwardly on a kickoff return. He limped to the sideline but never returned as the defending National Champion Gaels started fast then pulled away late for a 35-14 win.
Head coach Shaun Aguano is hoping an MRI Monday shows nothing more than a knee sprain.
Lucas’ knee was wrapped with ice and he watched the second half from the Chandler sideline on crutches.
The senior speedster holds offers from ASU, UA, Washington, Nebraska, Notre Dame and Oregon State among others.
